Good work speaks for itself.

Different challenges. Different organizations. The common thread is thoughtful creative leadership and practical solutions.

Some of these examples reflect experience gained by Copperland's founder in previous roles and engagements.

Berkadia

Building a Creative System for Scale

Restructuring creative teams, implementing more effective workflows, and strengthening brand governance across a national organization.

The challenge

A national organization needed creative teams and processes that could scale with demand. Distributed production teams faced leadership bottlenecks, while corporate marketing requests arrived through scattered channels. Brand materials created across offices were not always consistent.

The transformation

As Creative Director, Brian led the roughly 30-person creative production organization, working with art directors and designers and reorganizing the team into pods with designated leads. In corporate marketing, he built a centralized Monday.com workflow for intake, prioritization, production, review, and approval. He developed brand guidelines and led the rollout of visual and written standards, templates, and training.

The impact

The new corporate marketing workflow doubled production capacity. The team structure strengthened accountability, while shared standards helped more people across the organization create consistently.

Universal Orlando Resort

Bringing a New Theme Park to Market

Helping establish the visual expression of Volcano Bay years before opening, creating campaign assets and marketing standards that supported its introduction as Universal Orlando’s third theme park.

The challenge

Universal needed to introduce Volcano Bay long before guests could experience it, while supporting its positioning as the resort’s third theme park rather than simply a water park.

The transformation

As an art director at Universal Orlando Resort, Brian directed prelaunch live-action vignettes filmed against blue screens. Working with a CG production partner, the team combined the footage with digital environments derived from architectural plans. Brian art directed marketing materials and developed the campaign’s visual style guide.

The impact

The broader Universal and NBCUniversal launch effort generated thousands of media placements and supported a sold-out opening season.

I AM NEXT

Turning a Gala Into a Fundraising Experience

Connecting fundraising operations, creative direction, event logistics, and promotional communications to help a nonprofit elevate its annual gala.

The challenge

I AM NEXT is a nonprofit supporting former foster youth who have aged out of the foster care system. They were expanding their annual gala beyond its inaugural social gathering to include a live auction, online auction, and direct donation appeal.

The transformation

Working with I AM NEXT’s leadership, Brian selected and implemented their auction platform, curated items, managed auction logistics and guest seating, developed the event identity and signage, and created a multistage promotional email campaign.

The impact

The auction and donation appeal raised more than $30,000 in gross funds. The event gained a more coordinated fundraising and guest experience.
